iLONA Glazing Paint – A translucent interior wood stain for log and wood surfaces

Ilona Glazing Paint is designed for new and old untreated interior wooden surfaces, as well as surfaces treated with products that do not form a membrane or hard coating that might prevent the absorption of the stain. It is suited to log and panelled surfaces, walls and ceilings, interior doors, architraves and furniture. The product is not suitable for floors or for waxed surfaces.

Ilona Glazing Paint is odourless, easy to use, smooths to an even finish, dries fast and leaves the beautiful grain of the wood visible. It gives the wood a durable protective satin coating. Ilona is an excellent alternative to wax due to its high tolerance for being washed and the ease of future treatment.

Coverage: Rough sawn or porous surfaces approx. 6-10m²/ l, planed or smooth surfaces approx. 12-15m²/ l, depending on the level of roughness and porocity of the material.
Drying time: Touch dry in approximately 30 minutes, ready for a re-coat in approx. 2 hours, depending on the temperature and humidity of the room.
Thinner: Water
Colours: Clear, but may be tinted to translucent colours of most commonly available colour charts. When choosing a stain, please note that the colour of the surface, previous treatments and tinting pastes, tinting machines and differences in tinting methods may cause subtle variation in colour.

Technical details

Plastic-free: The paint does not contain any plastic agents. The binder is made with renewable natural oils only.
Emission-free: Completely free of VOC emissions. The paint contains no volatile organic compounds.
MIT-free: The product contains no methylisothiazolinone (MIT).
The paint carries a certificate for low emission building materials, M1.
Wet abrasion resistance: Over 5000 brush strokes (SFS 3755)
Storage & disposal: Keep in a cool and dry place. Do not allow to freeze! Dry and empty containers can be taken to a refuse dump. Liquid waste must be taken to a municipal hazardous waste collection point.
